 內 容 簡 介 | | This film is based on the novel Black Hawk Down: A Story of Modern War, by Mark Bowden, which tells the true story of the Oct. 3, 1993, Battle of Mogadishu during the Somalian Civil War. This battle was the longest sustained ground attack involving American soldiers since the Vietnam War. The mission to abduct two of Somalian warlord Mohamed Farrah Aidid's lieutenants was designed to take 60 minutes but ended up lasting 15 hours. The attack resulted in two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters being shot down and the deaths of 18 Americans and hundreds of Somalians. |

| | 摘 抄 本 | 影片劇本曾經三易其稿，最後請來《辛德勒的名單》的編劇澤利安作最後的潤色。在正式開拍前，全體演員連同只有幾個鏡頭的小角色都分成三撥分別在美軍的三角洲部隊、游騎兵部隊和黑鷹直升機基地參加5天的軍訓，除學習部隊生活、武器操作和團隊精神外，他們還和摩加迪休之戰中陣亡者的戰友和親友交談，對自己所扮演角色有更感性的了解。由於無法在索馬利亞實地拍攝，全片是在摩洛哥完成的，得到了摩洛哥政府和美國國防部的全力支持，也使得這部影片能盡可能地完整再現當時的事件真相，連劇中人物的姓名除目前仍在美軍服役並付有特殊使命的隊員外，都採用了真實姓名。有的影評家甚至建議歷史頻道用此片代替有關歷史記錄片，因為相比之下，《黑鷹計畫》的描述更加準確、更加翔實。
