Q1: Why I must register Dr.eye 7.0 after its trail period expires?

A: Generally, we provide you a 15-day trial period. When the trail period expires, you must register it for fair use. There are two ways of registration: "Online Registration" and "Other Registration". Online Registration is strongly recommended as long as you can access the Internet.


Q2: How to register Dr.eye 7.0 online?

1. Only when your PC is internet-accessible can you register Dr.eye 7.0 online. Please start Dr.eye 7.0 under internet connection.
2. Right-click the Dr.eye logo in the toolbar of Dr.eye 7.0.
3. Click "Register Now" "Online Registration".
4. Fill in your name and email address.
5. Click "Register".


Q3: How can I register Dr.eye 7.0 if I cannot access the internet at home?

1. You may register via telephone or fax. Please start Dr.eye 7.0 after installation.
2. Click the Dr.eye logo in the toolbar by right mouse button.
(Right click Dr.eye logo in Dr.eye toolbar.)
3. Click "Register Now" -> Click "Other Registeration" ->Fill in your personal data -> Click "Save as".
4. Save your data as a file and email it, with your contact details, to the following address: service@dreye.com.cn, or print and fax it to: 021-54261243 (please offer your fax number if you register in this way). Your registration application will be processed properly and promptly.


Q4: Instant Translation can't work properly in PDF files ...

A: There may be 3 situations as below.
1. If you install Dr.eye 7.0 after installing Acrobat, there'll be no problems in using Instant Translation in PDF files.
2. If you install Dr.eye 7.0 before installing Acrobat, Instant Translation may be not available in PDF files. To get the solution, just do the following: open Dr.eye 7.0 install CD > open the folder of "support" > double click "Setup.exe"; or copy the file "Dreye50.api", which is in the installed Dreye folder, to the "plug-ins" folder of Acrobat.
3. If your Acrobat is in English version, you must select [Asian language support] when installing it.


Q5: Control Bar doesn't appear on the desktop after Dr.eye 7.0 is started ...

A: Check whether there is a small Dr.eye icon in the taskbar at the right lower corner of the desktop. If there is, just double click the small icon to place Control Bar on desktop.


Q6: Instant Translation can't translate Japanese sometimes ...

A: Please select the Japanese text and then change its font into [AR MinchoL JIS].


Q7: Instant Translation can't work properly in Acrobat 5.0/6.0 ...

A: In Acrobat 5.0, please click to open [Edit] menu > open [Preferences] window > open [Options] label > check to make sure that [Certified plug_ins only] is unticked; In Acrobat 6.0, please click to open [Edit] menu > open [Preferences] window > open [Startup] label > check to make sure that [use only certified plug-ins] is unticked.


Q8: After reinstallation, the new words supplementary disappear ...

A: When you select [Repair] or [Modify] to reinstall Dr.eye 7.0, the system will let you select if you want to reinstall [Dr.eye Database]. If you tick it, the former database will be covered and the new words supplementary will disappear.


Q9: Can't find embedded Webpage Translation buttons in Microsoft Internet Explorer ...

A: There may be two situations as below.
Please go to IE's [View] > [Toolbar] to select [Dr.eye Webpage Translation].
In Windows 2003 (English version), Webpage Translation doesn't embed in Microsoft Internet Explorer by default. Please go to IE's [Tools] > [Internet Options] > open [Advanced] label > tick [Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart)], and then restart your IE.


Q10: After uninstallation, the embedded Full-text Translation buttons still shows in Microsoft Word ...

A: The situation in Microsoft Word is very special. The buttons have been added in the document template (normal.dot). You must remove them manually. Please go to Microsoft Word's [Tools] menu > [Templates and Add-ins]> click [Organizer...] button > open [Toolbars] label > [Delete] Dr.eye Full-text Translation from Normal.dot.
